Innovators Alliance

Innovators Alliance Launches Manufacturing Sector Specific Chapter

With close to half of the IA membership working in the manufacturing industry, it was only a matter of time before we brought members from the sector together in a more formal way.

Now, with our first meeting under our belt, we are pleased to share that we have officially launched the IA Manufacturing Sector Group with manufacturing expert and serial entrepreneur Paul Hogendoorn leading the group as Chair. Paul is also the Chair for our London and Kitchener Waterloo Chapters.

The Manufacturing Sector Group is open to all members and will occur 4-5 times a year as a virtual event. These meetings will alternate between information sharing, conducting traditional ‘check-ins,’ and deep diving into topics that are of particular importance to the manufacturing community.

Coming out of the first official Manufacturing Sector Chapter meeting, the team identified a few key areas that are of interest:

  • Leveraging AI and new technology to improve efficiencies for manufacturing – looking at best practices and new opportunities.
  • How to find and attract skilled labour to support specific industries.

The sector is at a very exciting time right now”, shared Chair Paul Hogendoorn; “bringing IA members from various companies in the sector together reinforces the unique power and value that Innovator’s Alliance brings to its members, and I’m excited to see what new innovations these cross-collaboration opportunities will bring”.
