Please join us on March 24th for an Innovators Chat provided by our sponsors Sherrard Kuzz on ‘What Employers Need to Know Now Following the Changes from Bill 27’.

Brian Wasyliw and Natalie Nicholson of Sherrard Kuzz LLP will cover insights and recommendations for employers to manage and lead following key changes to the Ontario Employment Standards Act. The conversation will cover legal requirements, but also the means and suggestions for how to message changes to employees.

Key take-aways for the Audience:

  • Employers are very limited, and in many cases, now prevented from restricting competition from employees who have resigned or been let go from employment.
  • Employees will be entitled to “disconnect” from any work after their regular hours.  How should this be implemented, what is required?
  • Temporary help agencies and recruiters must be licensed and any employer must not use an unlicensed provider.
